New Year's Sampler

My New Year's holiday weekend sampler: Cuesta-Rey Centro Fino, Gurkha Assassin, a (splurge) Cohiba Extra Vigoroso, and Rocky Patel Edge.

I just finished the Gurkha Assassin, and I have to say I liked it very much. It had more character than the Evil, wasn't too spicy, and had a woody flavor. It went well with the Russell's Reserve Rye whiskey, and made a good start to the holiday weekend.

Tomorrow I'll try the Edge with some Bushmill's single-malt. The Cohiba should be a January 1st sort of smoke, I suppose because of the cost. And the Cuesta-Rey will finish the holiday weekend.

Happy New Year's to all.
